In the wild Dogs/wolves would instinctively go for the guts first, consuming the internal organs, such as the heart ,lungs, kidneys and tripe (intestines). These hold they are rich in essential nutrients. Next they’ll go for the muscle meat for the strength building amino acids, followed by the bone for phosphorous and calcium & the relaxing endorphin buzz it gives.
